Stationery Etiquette: Social • A good stationery wardrobe is important for the seasoned executive, the socialite and professional. • The most impressive color paper is white or ecru with black or black ink. • Whatever the color of the engraving, the ink you write with must be the same. • Personal stationery should contain your name, home address, city, state and zip. • No references should be made to your company affiliation on personal business stationery. However, you may include your title such as Attorney at Law, Ph.D., etc. (For example. John, Doe, D.D.S.) • Many types of stationery are offered, but the one that looks put together is when the correspondence card has a matching envelope. This way it has multiple use for invitation thank you’s and notes of any kind. In short, if you were only to have one outfit in your stationery wardrobe, this would be it. I use mine weekly! • I prefer paper by Crane’s due to its thick paper quality.
