Lipstick Etiquette • It’s socially acceptable to apply lipstick at the table in a social or business situation. • Modern etiquette says to apply quickly- within 30 seconds. • In general, personal grooming should be done in private (not in the car while enroute to a dinner but at home). • Lipstick is one grooming ritual that can sometimes be performed in front of others. • When in doubt (or if you’re without a compact mirror), excuse yourself to the ladies room.
